Designed by the Belgian design duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, the Rocking Chair perfectly embodies their distinctive approach to furniture: a radical reduction of form, an emphasis on materials, and a remarkable sense of visual lightness.

The design is constructed around a simple yet highly refined principle: a generously suspended piece of natural leather stretched between a slender steel structure. The result is a chair that appears almost transparent and sculptural, while offering a surprisingly comfortable and relaxing seating experience.

The natural leather will develop a beautiful and individual patina over time, gradually deepening in colour and adding character to the piece. Its warm, organic appearance creates a striking contrast with the clean and architectural green steel frame.

The Rocking Chair was developed from Muller Van Severen’s early seating designs, created around their first solo exhibition at Interieur Kortrijk in 2012.
