This low easy chair was designed by Maarten Van Severen in 1988 as the F88 – Fauteuil 1988, one of his first designs.
Since 1999 it was manufactured by Top Mouton and since 2013 by Lensvelt as the S88.
This chair is a very first edition produced by Maarten Van Severen himsef, detailed pictures as proof upon request.

This chair has a stunning color combination. The strong black saddle leather back fits perfectly in the steel strips and the low base. The thick “old pink” canvas cushion provides a comfortable seating height.

Initial Van Severen designed and produced this chair for his own use, because he could never find furniture to his liking. F88 is a very low easy chair, so low that you can place your glass of wine on the floor next to you. It also accentuates a woman’s legs. The curved leather back rest provides warmth and a sense of enclosure.

This F88 chair is in a very good authentic condition and breaths Belgian history !
