Iconic luggage rack designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Les Arcs ski resort in the French Alps, late 1960s.
The solid pine slatted support is mounted on a chromed tubular steel base.
Lightweight and decorative, this rack can easily be repurposed as side table, bed end or extra seating.
Designer:
Between 1967 and 1989, Charlotte Perriand undertook one of the largest projects of her career as an architect and designer.
In collaboration with property developer and founder of Les Arcs, Roger Godino, she created a cutting-edge ski resort, integrating architecture, facilities, and the environment into its design.
The interior layout was conceived according to function, from the furniture to the simplest accessory.
Condition:
Consistent with age and use. There are a few flaws and scratches on the metal base. The wood retains its original beautiful patina.
These minor imperfections attest to the authenticity of this unique pieces and lend it a timeless charm.
